The one source article mentioned that the power source used to power the laptop makes a difference on what speed the CPU runs at, as well. This will ensure your CPU is always running at the max speed at the cost of increased power consumption, heat generation, and reduced battery life. However, I recently discovered you can just turn off Intel SpeedStep from the BIOS settings. In the past, I've often been able to resolve my laptop CPU speed issues by cleaning the cooling vents on the laptop. Hit ok, let it load than choose to save a copy to your desktop.

Windows key + R key will open your run box in the lower left hand corner of your computer. Could please post you computer specs I can get a better idea of what is going on. When this feature is on, your system can adjust the CPU speed to to reduce heat and preserve power. Knowing your computer specs would help determine if you can run the game. The decreased CPU speed is a feature of Intel SpeedStep. (also it seems that when I am not using my laptop, I mean it is turned on but after 15 minutes it goes into sleep mode and then I turn it on again and my cpu is running around 2.9 Ghz but it only lasts for around 3 minutes)

I've been struggling to find a solution but I think something happened with the hardware, I made 6 factory resets and nothing helped.

My friend told me to leave the server on for the night and so I did (also my laptop was plugged in for the whole night just saying) and the next morning I wake up and everything is lagging, I check task manager and it says that my cpu speed is 0.48 Ghz. I have a Dell Inspiron 3543 I believe and I have my laptop for almost 3 years now and something like that never happened before, this is how it happened: I wanted to play minecraft with my friend and so I made a server for just the two of us, everything was running perfectly until I needed to go to sleep.

Close Microsoft Flight Simulator In Steam, right-click on the Microsoft Flight Simulator icon Go to Properties Uncheck the 'Keep. Tried LSPFix, it did not detect any problem. Tried on a bigger file (about 30 Mo), it still went down to 0 Ko/s. Do not delete the Steam Cloud Save if you did not set up a Data Bandwidth Limit. Looks like I was able to download a little file like 10 Mo but still noticed the download speed was going down quickly (speed started a bit higher than usual but drops quickly). WARNING: Doing so will delete your logbook. Hello, so for the past year or so I've been having this issue where I can't play games and watch videos without any lags. To bypass the Data Bandwidth Usage Limit, delete the Steam Cloud save.
